Oma Event Centre, by Ekwueme Square, Awka will get lit tomorrow, Friday,fifteenth December for the 2023 Christmas Fiesta of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS.

 

The event is planned to celebrate the essence of Christmas, provide an avenue for the management and staff of ABS to interact, relax and enjoy with the esteemed audience of the station, and also thank her numerous partners and major stakeholders in the state for their support in the passing year.

 

According to a press release signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee and Director of Legal Services of ABS, Barrister Juliet Amasiatu, the event will feature festival of Christmas carols and nine lessons, which will be rendered in nine different Nigeria languages, as well as award presentation to Chief Ikenna Okafor, who will be recognized as the ‘ABS Man of the Year’ for his numerous philanthropic gestures and contributions to education in his Akwaeze community.

 

Others who will receive awards at the event are Dr Amobi Nwokafor, Dr. Kelvin Obiegbunam, Chief Azubuike Ekweozor, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Mrs. Amaka Obi, Chief Peter Ogugua, Chief Thomas Okonkwo, Mr. Obinna Etele, and numerous others.

 

The event will be chaired by a former Commissioner for Information in Anambra State, Chief Maja Umeh, while the Traditional ruler of Ogidi, Igwe Pharmacist Alexander Onyido, his Alor counterpart, Igwe MacAnthony Okonkwo, and that of Amansea, Igwe Peter Anigbogu, will be the royal fathers of the day.

 

According to the press release, the Managing Director of ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, beckons on Ndị Anambra and all lovers of ABS to converge on Oma Event Centre, Awka, tomorrow, Friday fifteenth December, and join South East’s leading multimedia organization to celebrate God’s faithfulness in the year 2023, and prepare for another season to thank God for the gift of his precious and only begotten son, Jesus Christ.
