The Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of The Niger and Bishop, Anglican Diocese of Awka, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has challenged those in leadership positions to live up to the responsibility of catering for those they lead.

 

Most Reverend Ibezim stated this at the New Jerusalem Anglican Church, Ngozika Housing Estate, Phaze 11, Awka, during the sermon to mark today’s service which was themed’ Following the Good Shepherd’.

Most Reverend Ibezim stated that Christ the Good Shepherd, looks out for his flocks with all sincerity, love and dedication which means that anyone who found him or herself in the sit of authority should bear in mind, the betterment of those under him or her, stating that in doing such, God will bless them the more.

 

He admonished all not to disappoint in their various calling, as anyone created by God is in the position of service, therefore, it behooves on all Christians to answer God’s call by working seriously in any area they found themselves.

The Archdeacon, Nawfia Archdeaconry and Vicar, Saint Michaels and All Angels, Nawfia, Venerable Onyinyechukwu Illione said Jesus Christ rendered a sacrificial love to all so as to save lives and reconciled all to their maker.

 

Venerable Illione maintained that Jesus Christ is the good shepherd, who led his flocks to the right source and gave in his life for his flocks to live saying that all should follow him with all their resources and heart for he will keep fending, caring and lead them to a successful and life eternal.

On his part, the Parish Priest, Annunciation Catholic Parish, Awka, Reverend Father Victor Igwegbe said God answers prayers when one abides, trust and submit totally to him and his commandments.

 

Reverend Father Igwegbe expressed worry that many lament that their prayers are not answered stating that they are responsible because, some pray with wrong motive, unconfessed sins, pride, doubt, lack of faith and bad intensions reminding them that they cannot be successful without Christ, urging the parishioners to cling unto Christ who is the vine for them to bear fruits.

Also, at the Mission of The Most High Ministries, Amawbia, Reverend Isaiah Orjiakor called on Christians to humble themself to God so as to be like him and bear witness to him.

 

Reverend Orjiakor further asked all to discharge their duties in humility and as well, believe in Christ which is the way to the spirit.

 

Series of prayers were offered for God’s intervention in economic situation of the country.
