The Anambra State Chairman of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Barrister Ifeatu Obi-Okoye has asked Ndi Anambra to join the party as it begins nationwide E-registration exercise.

Barr. Obi-Okoye gave the charge at the party’s regional office in Awka while breaking down the importance of the meeting of the executives of the three hundred and twenty-six wards of APGA in the state.

According to the Anambra APGA state chairman, the move is in consonant with the Electoral Act 2022, directing all party members to electronically generate their membership cards to ensure that copies of their registration is electronically transmitted to INEC database to avoid manipulation of all sorts.

He said that this was why the party decided to embrace the digitization process for better identification in the membership process and assured that members of the party will receive a digital card that has a semblance of the voter cards.

Barrister Obi-Okoye commended Governor Soludo’s innovative developments for the people, especially the poor, vulnerable, the down-trodden and the forgotten and challenged every onye Igbo to register with the party.

He pointed out that the benefits of e-registration are enormous, as it is reliable and discourages backdating of membership as well as ensures adequate storage.
