Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism, Mr Don Onyenji has advised the Akwa Ibom residents in Anambra State to maintain cordial relationship with their host Communities.

 

Mr Onyenji gave the advice when the executive of Akwa Ibom Community Anambra State chapter paid him a visit in his office in Awka.

 

The Commissioner informed them about the desire of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to make Anambra State a model, adding that within a short while Ndi Anambra will begin to feel the massive development of the present government.

 

The Commissioner told them that culture defines the people as anyone without a culture has no background.

 

Mr Onyenji enjoined them to continue to support the government of Anambra state, support the peaceful co-existence in the State and give testimonies to their people about the good disposition of Ndi Anambra and the peace in the state.

 

He described Anambra people as hospitable, accommodating, and rich in culture, which make them the light of the nation and home for all.

 

Earlier in his speech, the President of the Akwa Ibom Community in Anambra State, Mr. Solomon Edet thanked Governor Soludo and the Commissioner for the warm reception accorded them.

 

He listed some of their cultural activities to include music, dance group, children’s cultural group, masquerade performance among other activities.

 

Mr Edet pledged to support the good activities of the State government for the overall development of the State.
