Before the Advent of COVI-19 pandemic in Nigeria, Nyanya/Mararaba road is known for gridlock that can keep one in a spot for many hours going to or from Abuja during rush hours.


A situation report by our Abuja crew say it is a different case today as teams can play football on the ever busy road.


It is unclear if it is in response to government’s directive or out of fear of contracting the dreaded coronavirus, many residents of the Federal Capital Territory have locked down their businesses and gone home.


Major shopping centres, eateries, parks where hitherto used to be a bee hive of activities and one often finds it impossible to access parking spaces, have been reduced to a gathering of two or three persons.
