The funeral ceremony of the late Chief Dominic Chiwetalu Okeke of Odida village, Ogidi, Idemili North Council Area has been held.

 

Those who condoled the family over the death of Chief Okeke paid tribute to the departed, describing him as a peaceful gentleman who lived impactful life.

Speaking during the event, the son of the deceased, Mr. Chukwunweike Okeke, explained that his father was a respected man in Ogidi, a disciplinarian and upright man, whose advice he always sought, urging all to live justly while alive.

 

An in-law whose daughter is married to the son of the deceased, Chief Okechukwu Obidinma, described the deceased as man of wonderful disposition, a giver and a humble personality with whom they had so much to do before his demise.

Daughter-in-law to the deceased, Dr. Nneka Okeke, remarked that the late Chief Okeke was a noble man who was truthful and accommodating to all, saying that she learnt so much from him, especially treating people equally.

 

A relative to Chief Okeke, Mr. Aloysius Okeke, explained that the deceased was upright, stood for the truth and was never aggressive towards anybody or issue while alive.

Another in-law to the deceased, Mrs. Obianuju Ugochukwu, noted that the deceased was a principled man, honest and truthful, and was well disposed to all he came across.

The deceased, Chief Okeke, well known to members of his community as “Nnayelugo”, died at the age of eighty-three on 8th December 2023, and was buried immediately according to his faith.
