In line with the mandate of Governor Chukwuma Soludo of ensuring that Anambra is rid of all forms of healthcare unprofessionals and quackery, Anambra State Ministry of Health has shut down AtPeace Neuro Psychological Centre in Awka.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the exercise, the Anambra State Director of Medical Services, Dr Ugochukwu Chukwulobelu said that the administration of Governor Soludo does not tolerate and would never allow quackery in the State.
Dr. Chukwulobelu regretted that the alleged owner of the facility is not even a health professional, appealing to Ndi Anambra to always check the type of hospital or health centre they refer their people.
He made it clear that the ministry will continue to clamp down on all illegal medical facilities in the state to ensure that Ndi Anambra access only certified and qualified health centres.
Two of the patients met at the alleged health facility, Messers Chinasa Ofodile and Somtochukwu Chukwura, who claimed to hail from Onitsha, said that they are in the place to receive medicare.
