South East Regional Coordinator of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Mr. Arnold Jackson has encouraged Nigerians to focus more on production of locally made goods for consumption and export, instead of depending on imported goods.

Mr. Jackson gave the encouragement at Golden Tulip Agulu Lake Hotel, during a- one-day training and interactive section with industrialists on Alternative Power Supply and Export Mark Support, organized by the state government through the office of the Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke.

Government House Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that Mr. Jackson, who spoke through the Head, Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Awka Smart Office, Lady Jane Ohiri, observed that Nigeria especially Anambra State is blessed with fertile land for cultivation of all sorts of agricultural products, stressing that the state residents should learn to develop the value chains for consumption and export.

He revealed the readiness of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council to assist whoever wants to venture into exportation of locally made goods, disclosing that such person can access NEPC office at the Jerome Udoji State Secretary Awka, for information or clarifications.

Mr. Jackson explained that people can export any type of locally made good to other parts of the world as long as it is up to exportation standards. UP SOT

Governor Willie Obiano was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Okeke at the event while the commissioner for Public Utilities, Mr. Emeka Ezenwanne, and his Agriculture counterpart, Mr. Nnamdi Onukwuba were also present at the event.
