The Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anambra State Sir Norbert Obi says the party is enjoying general acceptance among Ndi Anambra and is committed to a credible gubernatorial election on sixth November 2021.

He stated this during a special edition of ‘Meet the Media’ at the party Secretariat in Awka.

Correspondent Ejike Abana was there and reports that while disclosing that about five people have expressed interest for the governorship seat of the State under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA and that more are expected, Sir Norbert also noted that they are following the time table of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

According to the State APGA Chairman, during the recently concluded local government tour, among other efforts, the party hierarchy made efforts to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party.

While stressing that elections are won and lost at the ward level, he assured that APGA primaries will be free and fair and that more plans by the party will soon be made public.

While expressing worry at the level of voter apathy during elections in the state, Sir Norbert emphasized that they know the catchment areas as they will mobilize them to vote when the time comes.

The APGA State Secretary, Mr. Anthony Ifeanya, explained that during their tour of the local government areas in the State, they always highlighted the achievements of Governor Willie Obiano.

One minute silence was observed for the late Publicity Secretary of APGA, Mr. Chinedu Nkwonta who died on fourth January 2021.
