Christian mothers have been charged to build a good Christian home for a better society.

The vicar Saint Stephen’s Anglican Church Inland town Onitsha Venerable Ifeanyi Azubike gave the charge in a sermon during a special church service to mark this year’s mother’s Sunday.

Venerable Azubuike who pointed out that godly parenting produces godly children stressed the need for parents to apply wisdom in training their children, adding that building a Christian home is the responsibility of both parents.

Venerable Azubuike called on mothers to have time for God reminding the congregation that the days are evil.

The vicar’s wife Mrs. Ogochukwu Azubuike who expressed joy at the turnout of mothers during the church service, challenged them to be peace makers where ever they may find themselves, making biblical reference to Abigail who stood in for her husband during a critical time and urged mothers to emulate her.

The service featured songs by the mothers playlet by the youths and dance by the Anglican Childrens Ministry, ACM, of the church.

Emengini Osadebe who was at the service reports that mothers of the church were on their numbers praising and thanking God for the gift of motherhood.
