The Driver of the Toyota Corolla, Mr. Okezie Elibe, blamed the incident on the size of the “Access Road Island”, while the driver of the Toyota Highlander, Mr. Emeka Nwachukwu, thanked God for saving their lives.

Efforts to speak with the Public Relations Officer of the Construction firm handling the road project did not yield any result.

However, a Staff at Nawfia base of the company attributed the accident and similar ones to lack of markings on the road, and explained that it was pressure from the motoring public that led to the quick opening of the road.
