It was a gathering of benefactors and beneficiaries as “Lovecare for the Needy Foundation”, LCNF, marked twenty-five years anniversary of humanitarian services, and seven years of being on air for same purpose.

 

The event held in Awka, the Anambra State capital, also provided opportunity to solicit help for a thirteen-year-old Precious Enyinta; from Izzi, Ebonyi State, who needs surgery on the leg.

In his opening remark, the Chairman of the event, Chief Chuba Odua, explained that the event was to celebrate success stories and rekindle the fire of love among the people, and thanked the host for championing call for help for people in need.

Sharing testimonies at the event, Mrs Virginia Analikwu narrated how God used the host and the foundation to heal her son, Chisom, who was afflicted with deadly sickness, even as Mr Ebuka Mbonu narrated how God used the host and his foundation to deliver him from death sentence after spending nine years in custody, all praying God to keep sustaining the host.

Some personalities who received various categories of award at the event, including Prince Anekwe Nnoli, Dr Benedict Ezimora and Obiajulu Sokei of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, said there is enormous benefit in giving to the needy, and promised to redouble efforts in touching lives through the foundation; as God enables them.

 

Others, including a cultural enthusiast, Mr. Anenechukwu Uba and Mr Gabriel Okechukwu, urged more people to join hands with the foundation in touching lives of people in need.

Host, Mr. Ifeomamebe Okechukwu Ojiako, said his seven years of using the foundation to touch lives through radio programme, “Sharing life issues with Ifeomamebe”, has recorded success stories, saying that more will come in coming years, just as he thanked sponsors for identifying with the good works of the foundation, and ABS for the platform being used to touch lives positively.
