Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been commended for his robust governance style which has brought meaningful development to all strata of the society.

The commendation was made by the Anambra state chapter of the National Association of Good Governance at their one-day meeting in Onitsha, the state commercial nerve centre.

The association traced the history of development in the state right from its creation on August 27, 1991 to date and posited that it was under Soludo’s administration that the state witnessed all factors of good governance applied simultaneously in all sectors to achieve the common goal of positive transformation of the economy.

The meeting outlined those contributory factors to good governance as total commitment to duty, resilience, strong political will and steadfastness of purpose as well as prudent management of funds and allocation of scarce resources to priority areas and concluded that the present administration applies all these factors to its governance structure.

Members of the association also noted that in all its appointments, the Soludo administration is committed to promoting meritocracy and fostering the growth and development of all ministries and agencies even as it observed that it never toils with the welfare of the workforce which they described as the nucleus and engine room of governance.

Corroborating the association in its findings, the Education committee Chairman at the state legislature, Honourable Anayo Okpalaeke in an interview in his office, described Governor Soludo as a model whose administration has brought scholarship to bear in governance, evolved robust ways of implementing its policies and programmes at the same time took measures to ensure even development of all the nook and crannies of the state.

Honourable Okpalaeke representing Aguata One constituency at the legislature, pointed out that one unique feature of this government is its innovation in vital sectors like agriculture with focus on organic farming, massive road infrastructural development for easy evacuation of farm products and education where digital skill acquisition is brought to the force as well as job creation where thousands of employment windows have been created to curb joblessness and make life more meaningful to our youth.

Honourable Okpalaeke recalled the great feat achieved by Anambra State when it swept four awards at the ICT Peer Review Session at the Eleventh National Council on communication, Innovation and Digital Economy meeting held in Kano recently and chaired by Dr Bosun Tijani, minister of communications.

The legislator noted that Anambra state won the overall best state in Digital Technology Development, won the best state in Digital Infrastructure Technology Development, the first Runner-up in the category of E-Government Implementation and also a first Runner-up in Digital Technology Human Capital Development in that ICT Peer Review Session and attributed this success to Governor Soludo’s commitment to achieving excellence.
