More reactions have continued to trail the ongoing construction of an International Cargo and Passenger Airport, by Governor Willie Obiano adjudging it the highest achievement of any government since the creation of Anambra State on twenty-seventh August, 1991.

Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that one of the respondents and a resident of Awka, Chief Ejike Onwukwe commended Governor Willie Obiano for taking the bold step to provide Anambra State with the airport, to minimize hardship and stress faced by Ndi Anambra in travelling to other parts of the world.

He observed that when the airport is completed, it will increase the economic status of the State and also provide thousands of job opportunities for unemployed persons in the State .

On his part, the immediate past President General of International Building Materials Market Umuokpu Awka, Chief Chukwudi Nwankwo pointed out that the completion of the Cargo and Passenger Airport will solidify the status of the State as the pride of Eastern Nigeria, and will be a disappointment to critics of the present administration.

Chief Nwankwo however pleaded with the Obiano government to also construct more roads in the State within the remaining one year of the administration to reduce challenges still faced by some communities in the State in road related issues.

Contributing, the representative of South-East at the Nigeria Volleyball Federation Board, Mrs Philomena Agusiobo lauded Governor Obiano whom she described as one of the most active Governors God has blessed the State with since creation, saying that the Airport will immensely fast track development in the State on completion as it will encourage both local and international economic activities.
