The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Uche Okafor has described Governor Willie Obiano’s security initiative as one of the major gains of his administration.
Speaking to newsmen in Awka on the Governor’s Security Interactive Session with traditional rulers, Presidents-General as well as youth leaders in the State, Right Honourable Okafor maintained that Chief Obiano remained the most security conscious Governor in view of his outstanding accomplishments in security.
The Speaker noted that the relative security being experienced across the State under Governor Obiano has facilitated sustainable development and attracted more investors to the State.
He recollected numerous efforts made by the Governor in ensuring adequate security in the State such as regular provision of security vehicles, gadgets and other assistance to security agencies in the State, funding of all local security operatives as well as empowerment of youths as a way of keeping them away from crimes and criminalities among other security achievements.
The State number one lawmaker enjoined affluent citizens and other stakeholders in the state to complement Governor Obiano’s wonderful security efforts by contributing meaningfully to the maximum security in their various localities.
