Anambra State Government has directed  all School Teachers and Education Administrators in the Public, Private and Mission Schools across the to resume fully for the second half of first term 2020/2021 academic session without pupils students on Monday next week  .

A releases signed by the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha said classes will begin for all pupils and students on Monday February first 2021.

The release further mandates teachers and administrators to use the two weeks period before resumption of pupils and students to put in place all COVID-19 protocols just as in the first wave of the virus.

It warned that no child or teacher would be allowed into the school compound without t face mask, while schools’ infirmaries’ are requested to rise to their responsibilities of ensuring regular temperature check of all entrants into the school compound among others.

Warning that no school should open before the stipulated date, the release charged all schools to concentrate in getting COVID-19 protocols ready before receiving the student as defaulters shall be seriously sanctioned, including closure of the school.

While appealing for maximum cooperation from all concerned to assist the Education family and Anambra State Government to keeping the second wave of coronavirus away from schools, the Ministry of Basic Education directs all schools to observe all the COVID-19 prevention protocols as stipulated in the guideline.

The release maintained that the earlier directives on guidelines for the resumption of schools subsist and must be followed strictly.
