President Emmanuel Macron’s announcement that France would make April twenty-four a National day for commemoration of the Armenian genocide.

The Turkish spokesman Ibrahim Kalin in a statement condemn and reject attempts by President Macron which is afflicted by political problem, to try and save the day by turning his historical event into political matter.

President Macron said yesterday that France is first and foremost the country that knows how to look history in the face during a speech to the Armenian community at a dinner in Paris.

Turkey and Armenian have long been at odds over the treatment of Armenians during world war one.

Armenian said up to one point five million of their people were killed during the war.
