The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Maduagwu has described youths as pivotal in the promotion and sustenance of democracy in the country.
Addressing a youth summit at Ukpor, organized by the Nnewi South chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Barrister Maduagwu extolled the contributions of youths in community development especially in local security.
The Speaker while commending youths in Nnewi South for their peacefully disposition, assured them that she would continue to use her position as the Speaker of the state Legislature to provide a better life for them.
She advised them to say No to desperate politicians who would approach them for thuggery during the forthcoming general elections but to remain supportive of Governor Willie Obiano’s efforts in repositioning their future.
Barrister Maduagwu who had earlier during Governor Obiano’s thank you visit to the council area received commendation from her constituents for her numerous achievements, assured the people of Nnewi South Constituency Two of more effective representation.
