Divine Mercy Chapel Aguluzigbo, Anaocha local government area, has been officially dedicated by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Revered Paulinus Ezeokafor.
The Chapel, built by the Dimobi family in memory of their late parents and sister, Late Mr. Christopher, Mrs. Elizabeth and Miss Martha Dimobi is to immortalize their strong Christian faith.
In a homily during the dedication service, Bishop Ezeokafor said that the church came to transform the society and win souls for Christ through condemnation of some obnoxious practices.
He said that the church do not condemn culture and tradition but idol worshiping, noting that with such a Chapel, the presence of God will be felt everywhere and every time.
Bishop Ezeokafor extolled the Dimobi family for keeping to the faith of their late parents and sister, calling on others to emulate them and channel their resources to the service of God.
The member representing Anaocha Constituency Two in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Charles Ezeani said the Dimobi family has done great with the building of the Chapel in honor of their late parents and sister describing it as practical demonstration of Christian faith.
A Knight of the Catholic church, Dr Mike Omenugha testified that Joe Dimobi, a one- time Legislator at the state House of Assembly and siblings have demonstrated that their parental upbringing in worshiping God and prayed God to always bind them with his love.
Also speaking, one of the sons of the deceased, Reverend Father Emmanuel Dimobi, assurred of their continued prayer always.
In a remark, the first son, Honourable Joseph Dimobi who said they decided to immortalize their parents and sister because of their contributions to their lives and assured their resolve to build on the legacies they left behind.
The mass was attended by Revered Fathers, Sisters, Knights and ladies as well as friends and well wishers .
