As Fathers of the Roman Catholic church celebrate the 2024 Father’s Sunday today, the Chairman of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, in Anaocha Local Government Area Chief Anthony Ugorji has charged fathers to see themselves as positive vessels in bringing the needed transformation in the society.

 

Speaking to the ABS on the significance of this year’s Father’s Sunday, Chief Ugorji who is a member of the Catholic Men’s Organization, CMO, described the role of a Christian father in a contemporary society as challenging, tasked Christian fathers on the need to always make a difference wherever they find themselves in order to bring the needed change in the society.

 

Chief Ugorji who is a member of the Knighthood order of Saint John International, used the opportunity to congratulate the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke and that of Awka Catholic Diocese Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor on this Year’s Father’s Sunday, called on Christian parents to always see child upbringing as a collective responsibility.

 

He charged Parents especially fathers, to always monitor the kind of company their children keep in order not to bring shame and unpleasant stories to their various families.

 

Chief Ugorji who is also the Special Assistant to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on event management described the Governor as a father who knows the desires of the people, urged Ndi Anambra to continue with their support and prayers to the Governor to enable him continue to deliver on his mandate.

 

Chief Ugorji charged Christian fathers to use this year’s Father’s Sunday in praying for more peace, unity and progress of the Nigerian Nation, and urged the federal government to map out positive policies that will reset the nation’s economy.
