The Governor of Rotary International District 9142 Nigeria, comprising all the States in the South East as well as Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom states, Mr Akan Emah has described death as inevitable for all mortals.

 

Speaking at the palace of the traditional Ruler of Nise in Awka South local government area, Igwe Romanus Iloh when he paid him a condolence visit over the sudden death of his son Prince Azubike Iloh, Mr Emah who said that he received the death of Prince Azubike Iloh who was a one-time elected chairman of Awka South local government area with a rude shock.

 

The Governor of Rotary International District 9142 Nigeria Mr Emah who spoke through the Assistant Governor Zone-38 Mr Abuchi Nwozor, described the traditional Ruler of Nise Igwe Romanus Iloh and his late son Prince Azubike as strong supporters of Rotary programmes.

 

He urged Igwe Iloh to take solace in the enduring legacy of the late Prince Iloh whom he described as a paragon of honesty, diligence, and compassion, values that are at the heart of Rotary’s mission.

 

Mr Emah used the opportunity to call on the people to always impact positively on the lives of others when alive.

 

Igwe Iloh, in company of the traditional ruler of Umuawulu Igwe Joel Egwuonwu, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Rotary International for standing in solidarity with him and his family in their time grief and emphasized that they cannot question God’s will, as they have accepted the loss with grace and acceptance.

 

The District Governor of Rotary then signed the condolence register, extending their deepest sympathies to the Iloh family.
