Traders at the Shoe Manufacturers and General Goods Dealers Association, Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area has inaugurated the new caretaker committee instituted by the Anambra State government to pilot the affairs of the market.

 

The caretaker committee has Mr. Innocent Chukwuemeka as Chairman, Mr. Cletus Eze as Vice Chairman, Mr. Chizoba Nwoha as Secretary, and Mr. Ejiofo Ugwu as Financial Secretary.

Others are Mr. Innocent Jideoffo – Treasurer, Mr. Sunday Okereke- P R O, Mr. Chidi Nnagbuo, Provost, while Mr. Ifeanyi Igwilo and Mr. Joseph Nkwuta are members.

 

Speaking after the handover, the Chairman of the New Caretaker Committee, Mr. Chukwuemeka thanked the past executive for running the affairs of the market smoothly and successfully.

He appealed for their support for the positive transformation of the market just as he promised to be proactive to achieve on their mandate.

 

Mr. Chukwuemeka called on the government to partner them to achieve great results in the market and stated that their administration will leave no stone unturned in making the market the best manufacturing market known for quality in the country to attract people to use locally manufactured goods which is in line with the vision of the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

The immediate past chairman of the market, Mr. Clement Emesim called on the new executive to be open to accept advice and always feel free to come to them anytime they need their assistance.

 

On his part, a trader, Ichie Patrick Abaligbo expressed gratitude for the peaceful handover and expressed optimism that they will do well.
