The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has urged Nigerians to patronise locally-made products to help grow the economy.

The Anambra State Director of NOA, Mr. Charles Nworji stated this in Awka during a press briefing to announce a one-day seminar and exhibition of Nigerian products for small and medium scale enterprises, community-based organizations as well as people living with disabilities, billed for Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government Area, on May fifteenth, 2022.

Mr. Nworji explained that the Agency is seeking to sensitise and mobilise Nigerians to consume local products to support national economic growth and revealed that the most developed nations of the world are those whose economies are based on local production.

Advising government agencies and private sectors to emulate NOA by buying made-in-Nigeria operation vehicles, the Anambra NOA boss noted that such step would help to encourage others to follow suit, as it would create more jobs and improve the nation’s image and made it clear that there was a need for manufacturers to match foreign standards by giving consumers quality products.

The one-day seminar and exhibition was well attended by stakeholders in the manufacturing industry, including representatives from the Central Bank of Nigeria, Officials of the Nigeria Customs Service, and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, (MAN) among others.
