Sterling performances of the Willie Obiano administration across various sectors of the state’s economy have continued to receive accolades as it marks seven years in office.

Speaking on ABS program, “Nzuko Anambra,” the Commissioner for Youths and Creative Economy, Professor Theresa Obikezie, credited all the success stories recorded, to incentives to workers across various sectors.

Professor Obiekezie explained that the Obiano administration, which will clock seven years today, has continued to empower trained youths in the state, in addition to initiating coaching and mentoring programs for them, as well as seeking collaboration with relevant institutions for their self-reliance.

On security, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C- Don Adinuba, noted that the state government now assists other states in security architecture, recalling kidnap and eventual rescue of some missionaries outside the state, through modern digital security arrangement of the Obiano administration.

On funds for developmental projects, Mr. Adinuba noted that despite revenue leakages and non-payment of money accruable to oil-producing states, the Obiano administration has continued to improve on revenue generation, through e-governance, which has increased transparency in government businesses, and for which, the state government received  award.

He noted that prior to the Obiano administration, the state government was generating about four to five million naira as revenue, which has increased tremendously owing to transparency and integrity with which the administration is being run.

On Health and management of COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Adinuba applauded the Obiano administration on free testing and treatment of the patients, noting that no one, who reported and was diagnosed of COVID-19 early enough, died in the state.
