Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke, has re-echoed the need for strict observance of COVID-19 protocols.

Dr. Okeke made the call when he attended the burial ceremonies of the Late Barrister Oscar Onwudiwe of Ifite village Ogbunike, Bishop Dr. Arthur Nwachukwu of Ajakpani village Umunya, both in Oyi Local Government Area, as well as Mr. Okechukwu Ozigbo of Awovu village Enugwu-Ukwu, in Njikoka Local Government Area, all in Anambra State.

Barrister Onwudiwe, according to his biography, was a member of the Anambra Vision 2070 Committee set up by Governor Willie Obiano.

Late Dr. Nwachukwu was the Bishop of Rhema Deliverance Ministry, Worldwide while late Mr. Ozigbo was APGA Ward three chairman in Enugwu-Ukwu.

Dr. Okeke, who described the deceased as intelligent, friendly and men with passion to make a difference, especially on things concerning Igbos, the Church and APGA, urged the bereaved families to take solace in the rewards for exemplary life lived by the deceased.

He reminded the people that COVID-19 is real and still killing many, urging them to always observe COVID-19 protocols, and insist on COVID-19 test whenever there is a health issue, especially Malaria.

Correspondent, Joseph Egbeocha reports that the former Governor of Anambra State and PDP Vice-Presidential candidate in the last election, Mr. Peter Obi, among other dignitaries, attended the ceremonies.
