The Director General Inter-Party Office, Anambra State, and Chieftain of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Ben Obi has called on Ndigbo to embrace the platform of the party in executing elections in the South East region.

Chief Obi made the call in Awka while speaking with journalists on national issues.

He said that APGA is a movement and a vehicle bequeathed to Ndigbo by late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, therefore Ndi Anambra cannot afford to abandon it.

He said that, charity begins at home and with what is happening in Nigeria today, insecurity and marginalisation of Ndigbo, it is important for Ndigbo to have an address, build and support a regional party like APGA through which they can pursue their various political aspirations.

On the party’s preparations for the November 6th, 2021 Anambra Gubernatorial election, Chief Obi expressed satisfaction with the support APGA has received in Anambra state in  the last fifteen years.

He said Governor Peter Obi did well as two-term APGA governor which made Ndi Anambra to resoundingly vote in Governor Willie Obiano in 2013.

Chief Obi said that they also elected him for a second term in 2017 based on exceptional performance, expressing confident that Ndi Anambra will continue along this trajectory of good governance and vote in the APGA candidate comes November 2021.

He called on APGA faithful in the state to remain steadfast and continue with the ongoing massive grassroot mobilization.
