Plaintiffs have continued to recount their ordeals in the hands of the defucnt Special Anti Robbery Squad, Anambra state police command at the ongoing Anambra state Panel Of Inquiry on police brutality, extra judicial killings and other related matters proceedings in Awka.

Mr. Onyechi Emmanuel, from Agulu Awka, who told the panel that he was a former vigilante supervisor working with Anambra state government narrated how he was brutalized by the defucnt Special Anti Robbery Squad, and prayed the Panel to grant all his prayers in his petition.

Mr. Nwankwo Johnbosco equally presented before the Panel a petition of police brutality in 2017, the police Counsel SP Innocent Obi brought inspector Johnson who was administrative officer in charge of records in SARS at the time the incident occurred to swear an oath to authenticate the evidence police presented in their response against the complainant.

In the same vein, Mr. Anthony Okonkwo of Ezimezi Amawbia, Awka South Council Area, filed a petition against the Nigeria police Anambra state command over the extra judicial killing of Mr. Olisaemeka Cyprian Okonkwo, even as Mr. Ebenezer Chibuzor also filed a petition against the Nigeria police over the extra judicial killing of Mr. Emmanuel Okwudili by SARS among other petitions.

The chairman of the panel, Justice Vero Ngozi Umeh retired charged both complaints and their counsels to ensure that all their exhibits, addendums and other related matters in their various petitions are intact to give their cases accelerated hearing and also enable them to meet up with the time frame given to the panel by the Anambra state government to complete the public hearing.
