The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor has described the most supportive first lady of the year 2019 award bestowed on the wife of the Governor of Anambra State Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano by the Sun Publishing Limited as expected and meritorious.
In his congratulatory message to Dr. Obiano on behalf of the State legislature Right Honourable Okafor noted that the good deeds of the wife of the Governor towards uplifting the living standards of Ndi Anambra especially the less privileged has distinguished her among her contemporaries in the country and apparently earned her the award.
The Speaker who recounted the positive impact of Dr Obiano’s Caring Family Enhancement Initiative on Children, women, widows, people with disability as well as destitutes in the State, commended her for providing a better life for the less privileged in the state through CAFE.
He thanked the Sun Publishing Limited for recognizing hard work and merit by finding Dr Obiano worthy of the award, adding that the award was a true testament of the massive support of the Governor’s wife to the good governance of Anambra State.
The State number one Lawmaker enjoined affluent citizens to support Dr Obiano’s CAFE programme in order to capture more beneficiaries.
