The State government says it will launch an investigation into the recent fire disaster in a mortuary at the General Hospital Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area.
Governor Willie Obiano disclosed this during a visit to the Mortuary. Describing the incident as a double tragedy, Governor Obiano commiserated with the families of those affected and pledged to
immediately commence the reconstruction of the burnt building.
The Governor who was full of emotions, called on the relatives to wait till the panel concludes and submit its findings, as he is committed to the welfare of the citizenry.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Josephat Akabuike was also part of the visit. It would be recalled that two days ago, a fire incident at the mortuary burnt about fifty corpses beyond recognition.
