The people of Uke in Idemili North Local Government Area have expressed satisfaction with Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the construction of some important road projects in the community.

 

The Uke community expressed their gratitude when the traditional ruler, Igwe Charles Agbala, accompanied by members of his cabinet, the Uke Town Union executive led by President-General Chief Peter Onyejegbu, and other stakeholders, inspected the road projects.

They described the completion of Uke Mmili Obiaja bridge as a huge relief for the people of the area, who had suffered greatly due to the previously poor condition of the road, which had been a long-standing nightmare for the inhabitants until Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s intervention.

 

According to them the completion of the bridge will boost interconnectivity and business transactions and re-assured the Governor of the continued support, prayers and loyalty of the people of Uke to his administration.

The traditional ruler of Uke Igwe Charles Agbala, who led the inspection team of the community, described the people of Uke as law abiding citizens, and extolled the giant strides of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in other key sectors of the economy including Agriculture, Health, Education, Human capital development and the one youth two skills programme of the administration which he noted will go a long way in producing youth millionaires annually in Anambra State.

 

Igwe Agbala, a surveyor, during the visit also appreciated Governor Soludo for his prompt intervention on the Uke Nnobi axis of Nkpor Umuoji Ojoto Uke Nnobi Road.

The President-General of Uke development union Chief Peter Onyejegbu commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his commitment to opening up the hinterlands through quality road Infrastructure, saying that the completion of the Uke Mmili Obiaja bridge project is a great relief to both motorists and pedestrians describing Professor Chukwuma Soludo as a Governor with clear vision and mission.

 

The immediate past Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local government area Chief Chuks Brown Igboanua who was part of the inspection team also spoke on other land mark achievements of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in Anambra State saying that the people of Idemili North are committed to all his positive policies and Programmes in the area.

 

Uke development union used the opportunity to appeal to the Governor to include Achalla Ukwulu, Abatete Mpia Uke-ofia udo transformer with a spur to Eke uke in his road construction Programme to end the gridlock usually experienced during festive periods at Eke Agu Abatete.

 

The Vice President General of Uke development union chief Udeh Onyeto, the financial secretary Mr Osita Enendu, Assistant secretary General Mr Paul Ilonze as well as the publicity secretary Mr Ubaka Onwuanibe were all part of the visit.
