Saint James Catholic Parish Neni, in collaboration with the Catholic Women’s Organization, has immortalized the Founder of Tonimas Group of Companies, Late Sir Anthony Enukeme, through the inauguration of the Anthonyo Enukeme Group of Schools in Neni.

 

The event commenced with a Eucharistic Mass at St. James Parish Neni, presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, who was represented by the Education Secretary of the Diocese, Very Reverend Father Maximus Okonkwo.

The mass drew the attendance of clergy, parishioners, and Neni natives.

 

Speaking at the event , Bishop Ezeokafor appreciated St. James Parish Neni for the initiative to immortalize late Enukeme, describing him as a worthy individual who left remarkable legacies both to the church and humanity, while urging other individuals in the society to emulate him.

In his homily, the Parish Priest, St Jude Thaddeus Parish, Awka, Reverend Father FrancisMichael Enyosiobi described the late Enukeme as a human sacramental who exemplified goodwill towards the growth of the church, the Neni community, and society at large.

 

He noted that the immortalization was befitting for late Enukeme, whose philanthropic deeds and contributions will endure for g

 

enerations to come, expressing gratitude to the Neni town union for erecting a statue in his honor.

The Chairman on the Occasion and Member representing Anaocha Constituency Two, Sir Ejike Okechukwu, said the memories and deeds of Chief Enukeme will continue to live forever, suggesting he deserves to be made a Saint due to his contributions to impacting humanity.

 

On their parts, Wife of the Late Enukeme, Lady Mary, and children, Chief Nkene and Mr. Chike Enukeme, gave insight into her late husband and father’s passion for education and services to humanity, saying the kind of life his father lived was worth emulating.

They pointed out that their dad did much for his community through empowerment, infrastructure, scholarships, and more, saying he contributed significantly to his community and Nigeria at large.

 

The traditional ruler of Awba-Ofemmili, Igwe Ezekwesili Maduagwuna, Project Engineer to Chief Enukeme, Engr Tochukwu Momah, and numerous others gave insight into how the Late Enukeme impacted their lives.
