Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has assured Ndi Anambra that the Professor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration will double its last two years achievements for the state in the remaining years.

 

Giving the assurance at the International Convention Center Awka during an event to mark the two years anniversary of the present government, Deputy Governor Ibezim, who explained that the wellbeing of Ndi Anambra remains the priority of the Professor Soludo government, said that people of the state are yet to see and experience good governance and equitable distribution of democracy dividends in the state under the Soludo leadership, as according to him, the present achievements of the government are little compared to what it still has in stock for the state.

Dr Ibezim thanked people of the state for their support to the Soludo leadership so far, and encouraged them to sustain the support to enable them actualize the plans for the state.

 

The state Commissioner for Industry, Mr Christian Udechukwu, that of Environment, Mr Felix Odimegwu, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, Lady Chinwe Okoli, respectively outlined the achievements of the present administration through their various ministries and offices, including revamping of the industrial sector of the state, tackling of major erosion sites and other environmental challenges facing the state, empowerment of thousands of youths through digital and non-digital skills, among others, assuring that the Soludo government is prepared to deliver on its mandate.

In separate interviews, the National President of Anambra State Association of Town Union, ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo, and the immediate past Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Emeka Aforka, rated Governor Soludo high in people-oriented approach to governance, saying that the Governor has proven to have the interest of the people at heart through his policies and programs, but encouraged him to improve the security apparatus of the state more for adequate security of life and property across the state.

 

On their parts, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Mr Chuks-Brown Igboanua, that of Awka South, Mr ThankGod Anagor, their Orumba South counterpart, Prince Neville Uchendu, described the achievements of the Professor Soludo government as remarkable and unprecedented, and commended the Governor for being prudent in managing the economy of the state, amidst present economic reality in Nigeria, even as they expressed hope that the Governor will perform better in the remaining years of his tenure.

The event attracted personalities from within and outside the state, including the Governor of Abia state, Mr Alex Oti.
