The Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, has extended his prayers and condolences to families and leadership of Ochanja market over the building collapse in the market.

 

This is coming on the heels of reports that about six persons have been confirmed dead, while over twenty others were rescued with various degrees of injuries, according to Anambra State Emergency Management Agency.

Speaking shortly after visiting the scene of the incident in company of Governor Soludo, Mr. Ezeajughi expressed shock over the incident he described as regrettable, and assured that all necessary tests will be carried out on quality of materials in order to ascertain the root cause of the problem and avert future occurrence.

 

He assured the families of the victims, as well as the leadership of the market of regular communication in order to lessen the burden of the incident on them.
