A notable Anambra philanthropist and Founder, Ide Global Movement, Chief Azubuike Ekweozor

 

has celebrated his mother, Mrs. Christiana Ekweozor, as she clocked seventy years.

 

The event which took place at Agbana village Umuawulu, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra state attracted friends and well-wishers of Ekweozor family from across the state and beyond who came to join in celebrating God’s faithfulness and unending mercy in the life of Mrs Christiana Ekweozor.

In a Eucharistic celebration to kick start the ceremony, the Parish Priest of Saint John’s Catholic Church Agulu, Reverend Father James Amaefuna, reminded Christians of the need to always serve God with their lives for the perfection of God’s plans in their lives, even as he commended the Ekweozor family for putting God first in their affairs, assuring them that God will not leave or forsake them.

 

In a remark, Chief Ekweozor appreciated God for being so kind to his mother who he described as a quintessential woman whose love for others is unquantifiable, praying that God will add more years to her in good health.

He reassured that he will continue with his philanthropic and selfless services to God and humanity.

 

The celebrant, Mrs. Ekweozor, thanked God for adding another year to her years, and promised to keep putting smiles on the faces of the downtrodden in the society, as well as contributing her quota to the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Another son of the celebrant, Chief Okechukwu Ekweozor, her first grandson, Mr. Frank Chukwuneke, and the first daughter in-law, Mrs. Charity Ekweozor, who said that Mrs Ekweozor is a special gift and blessing to the family and the entire society, wished her well and appealed that God should bless her with more years and good health, even as they promised to keep taking good care of her.

 

The Traditional ruler of Umuawulu community, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu, said the celebrant deserves double of her present age; as she has continued to be a blessing to the community, disclosing that the Ekweozor family, especially the Founder of Ide Global Movement, Chief Ekweozor, has been instrumental to the progress and development of Umuawulu community, praying God to keep blessing and protecting the family.

In various remarks, a onetime Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Harford Oseke, and the Commander, Dobe Awka Ocha, Prince Ikechukwu Ndigwe, commended Chief Ekweozor and the entire family of the celebrant for celebrating their mother when she is still alive; unlike many people who celebrate their parents when they are dead, asking people to emulate the family; as it will go a long way in adding to the life span of their parents as well as attracting God’s blessings to them.

 

The event featured cutting of birthday cake, dance by the celebrant, presentation of gifts to her by friends and well-wishers, and special prayers for her and the family.
