Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo will today, induct two hundred Anambra teachers into her school club, ‘Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo’.
The event, which will be held in Awka will officially flag off first phase of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo as a club in two hundred secondary schools in Anambra State.
A statement released in Awka to announce the event, explained that the Governor’s wife will formally address the teachers and welcome them into the club.
She will also brief them on the vision and mission of the initiative, as well as give them a rundown of her roadmap and their responsibilities.
The two hundred teachers, to be known as ‘Teacher-Ambassadors’ will oversee club activities in each of their designated schools and send in regular reports of the club’s programmes to the coordinators.
They will be expected to lead club members, interpret club’s guidelines and philosophies to students and also ensure that members are actively involved in every activity of the club.
‘Teacher-Ambassadors’ shall also ensure that club members follow the rules, are serious with their academics and are fit to represent the image and club brand.
Healthy Living Club, an initiative of ‘Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo’, is an open forum for hygiene and right health enthusiasts, driven by ethics and passion.
The project aims to set up Healthy Living Clubs in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions in Anambra State, that will serve as formative grounds for education and exposure of school children, teenagers and young people to the basics of healthy living, and how they can incorporate the best living and wellness principles into their daily lives .
