The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor says the promise of God to send the Holy spirit did not end with the apostles of the old.

In a sermon at Saint James Parish Nanka in Orumba North Local Government Area during a service of confirmation and admission into Girl’s Guild and Mother’s union for all the Parishes under Nanka Archdeaconry, Bishop Ezeofor maintained that every Christian need the power of Holy spirit in order to excel in life.

Right Reverend Ezeofor who said that multiple benefits abound when a Christian embraces the Holy spirit, charged the children of God to jettison acts capable of making them miss heaven.

He said that with the Holy Spirit of God, desert can become fruitful, while all the hard times being experienced by the faithful will become a thing of the past.

Bishop Ezeofor urged those that received the sacrament of confirmation to embrace the Holy spirit in order to be a role model.

On the sixty-second independence anniversary of the Nigerian-nation, the Aguata Diocesan Bishop who commended those that fought for the nation’s independence called on Nigerians to see the development of the country as a collective responsibility.
