The Ebonesie Progressive Union, Awka Branch has paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu.

 

The Chairman of the union in Awka Branch, Prof Dennis Aribodor led other members of the executive on the visit.

Ebonesie Progressive Union is the umbrella body of six communities including Azia, Mbosi, Orsumoghu, Isseke, Lilu and Ubuluisiuzo, all in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

 

Speaking during the visit, Professor Aribodor congratulated Sir Chido on his appointment as the Managing Director of ABS and advised him not to relent in his mandate of further uplifting ABS into a whole new level of prominence in the broadcasting industry.

Aribodor, a professor of Public Health Parasitology harped on the need for ABS to be the number one media of choice for every onye Anambra, stressing that the union will support the organization and the state government in fulfilling a liveable and prosperous homeland as envisioned by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

 

Responding, Sir. Chido said he was overwhelmed by the brotherly love demonstrated to him by his people, assuring them of his determination not to disappoint them and Ndi Anambra in carrying out his duties.

Also on the entourage was the Managing Director of the Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation, Sir Chuka Nnanuife.

 

The association later presented an award of recognition to the ABS MD, Sir Chido.
