The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has charged Christians to modify their earthly nature in order to have eternal life.

 

In a sermon at Our Redeemers Chapel in Saint Catherine’s Comprehensive College Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area during a service of confirmation and admission into the Girl’s guild and Mother’s Union for the college Community, Right Reverend Ezeofor maintained that when Christians modify their earthly nature, it will go a long way in helping them to bring the needed transformation in the society.

 

Bishop Ezeofor who described Grace as the capacity God gave to the faithful, in order to stay away from sin cautioned Christians against negative lifestyles capable of portraying Christianity in a bad light.

 

The Anglican prelate charged those that received the sacrament of confirmation as well as those that were admitted into the Girl’s guild and Mother’s union to accept Jesus as their personal saviour by engaging in those acts that will bring transformation in the society.

 

In a remark, the chaplain of the chaplaincy, Reverend Franklin Olisaemeka who thanked the bishop for the visit, reminded Christians of the need to always maintain their dignity as the salt and light of the earth.

 

Fifty two candidates received the sacrament of confirmation while twenty Eight girls were admitted into the Girls guild and three women into the Mother’s union.

 

One of those that were admitted into the Girls guild Miss Chioma Chinedu as well as Master Uwaoma Okoye who received the sacrament of confirmation during the service promised to use their new positions in touching lives for a better society.

 

The service which featured an anthem by the college choir, and special prayer for the State and Nation was attended by the president of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry, Mrs. Chinyere Ezeofor.
