The Vicar of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Amikwo Awka, Reverend Pascal Okekeazi has called for the love of God among Christians.

 

Reverend Father Okekeazi who made the call in a homily noted that the challenges witnessed in the country are due to lack of love among religious groups regretting the recent attack in Sokoto State.

He urged the youths to channel their minds into meaningful ventures.

 

At Saint Joseph’s Church, GRA, Agu-Awka, the Resident Priest, Reverend Sunday Okonkwo described the Holy Spirit as a seal in the life of every believer and mark of adoption.

 

Reverend Okonkwo whose sermon centred on’ ‘ the Holy spirit at work’ told the congregation that the Holy spirit is for guidance and protection encouraging the faithful to listen to it to have a blissful life.

Meanwhile, the Women of the Redeemed Christian Church of God observed yesterday as Mother’s Day.

 

The day was set aside to honour women for their roles and contribution to the nation-building and also aimed at showing them love and care as special breeds.

The Resident Pastor of The Mercy Hills Parish, Awka Pastor Okey Akpamgbo asked mothers to go back to the drawing board where children are moulded and groomed for a better society.

 

On her part, the pastor’s wife, Deaconess Phina Akpamgbo asked women to build their homes, support their husbands and raise Godly children.
