The member representing Orumba South Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Emma Nwafor has described Professor Chukwuma Soludo as a notable personality, versed in economic matters, and capable of making Anambra State a haven of opportunities for all.
Speaking while playing host to the former Central Bank Governor in his home town, Ezira, Orumba South Local Government Area, Honourable Nwafor said given Professor Soludo’s spectacular performances at the Central Bank of Nigeria, he is capable of turning around the economic fortunes of the State.
Political Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim was there and reports that the country home of Honourable Nwafor was full of life and activities, as political heavy weights of Orumba South local government extraction were around and used the occasion to commit to the cause of the former apex bank boss.

While receiving Professor Soludo and his team, Honourable Nwafor commended Governor Willie Obiano for the construction of the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri, and explained that Anambra needs an economic guru like Professor Soludo to consolidate on Governor Obiano’s achievements and take the State to greater heights.
In his remark, Professor Soludo said his only unfinished business is to contribute to greater economic exploits, and solicited unflinching support of people in Orumba South to realise the lofty vision for the State.
On his part, the Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Chief Cyprian Okereke, noted that Professor Soludo was instrumental to the nation’s robust Banking industry, and urged the people of Orumba South to support the idea of utilizing Soludo’s wealth of experience and global networks to attain unprecedented development.
The member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe, described Professor Soludo as one with international repute required to make the State economically stable.
In their separate speeches, a former Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Chief Emeka Sibeudu, former member that represented Orumba North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Ben Nwankwo also spoke highly of Professor Soludo’s antecedents.
The occasion was attended by some members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Local Government Chairmen, Traditional rulers in Orumba North and South Local Government Areas, among others.
