A philanthropist, Mr Ifeanyi Obi, has carried out a free ophthalmology medical Mission at Uke in Idemili North Local Government Area.

The exercise which took place at Oba Village Square, attracted Sons and Daughters of Uke Community as well as people from neighbouring Communities, including other States.

Speaking during the exercise, Mr Obi, a Surveyor, represented by the Chairman of Oba Village Uke, Mr. Patrick Okafor said that what he has done was to help his people who have various eye defects to get treatment at no cost.

Mr Obi urged the people to utilize the opportunity and correct some of their eyes defects, as eye remains one of the most sensitive and critical organs of the body.

The President-General of Uke Development Union, Mr Chuks Igboamua said that they announced the event in all the six villages of the Community and described the benefactor as a great and illustrious sons of the Community and prayed God to bless him.

Some of the beneficiaries, including  Mrs. Gladys Mbah from Enugu State, Messers Remy Anoliefo and Benjamin Okosa from Uke appreciated Mr Ifeanyi Obi for his benevolence and urged others to emulate him.
