Positive reactions have continued to trail the three years of the second term of Governor Willie Obiano in Anambra State.

Education correspondent Theophilus Ukoha captured the reactions of some stakeholders in the Education sector.

The Chairman Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Basic Education, Sir Ejike Okechukwu, said Governor Obiano has done well especially in the Education sector which has led to Anambra State winning so many laurels both nationally and internationally.

Sir Ejike said Anambra State is the first to embark on teaching on air programme during the COVID19 lockdown, organized by the Ministry of Basic Education in conjunction with the Anambra Broadcasting Service, adding that it produced a positive feedback mechanism even as more teachers are now ICT compliant.

The Chairman Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board Chief Patrick Ugboaja in his own reaction said Governor Obiano has not relented in constantly ensuring the payment of counterpart funding to support matching grants of Universal Basic Education Commission to build schools, train and retrain teachers and providing conducive environment for primary education to thrive in the State.

Chief Ugboaja also extoled Governor Obiano’s resolve to employ more teachers to consolidate on existing education frame work.

An Educationist Mrs Chinwe Nweke, scored Governor Obiano’s administration high in building education capacity a legacy she noted  will stand the test of time.

Mrs Nweke who is education development consultant, said the training of teachers on ICT is a big boost to development of Education in the State. UPSOT

The President-General Nibo Development Union Chief Innocent Akuvue said Governor Obiano’s administration exploits in the education sector is commendable while State Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Mr Tony Ifeanya, maintained that Governor Obiano has built a legacy that needs to be consolidated by the administration that will take over from him.
