The new Executive Members of the Anambra State Association of Town Unions ASATU, led by its President, Chief  Titus Akpudo has organized an interdenominational prayer to hand over their three year tenure to God.

The prayer session which attracted members of the union at their  State Secretariat  at the Government House Awka also featured distribution of food items to Correctional Centers in the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

The items include cartons of Noodles, bags of rice, cartons of cabin biscuits, tubers of yam, gallons of vegetable oil, toilet tissues, cartons of soap and detergents ar other toiletries among others.

Speaking during the programme, the President of ASATU, Chief Akpudo said that as new executive, it is important to start with God so as to help in piloting the affairs of the union, noting that prayer is vital as their positions needs wisdom and strength of God.

Earlier in a sermon Reverend Canon Josiah Ozue who is the President General of Mbaukwu Community charged the Presidents-General not to be afraid of any challenge noting that since they started with Christ, He will continue to lead, protect and preserve them, advising that they should discharge their duties without fear or favour.
