Educationists have been showering encomiums on the present administration’s efforts in reviving, restructuring and uplifting the standard of education in the state.
The encomiums were showered when correspondent, Emengini Osadebe felt their pulse on the laurels brought to the state by Anambra State students at various external examinations and competitions in and outside the country.


In his reaction, the Principal, Government Technical College, Onitsha, Mr. Mathias Emesi noted that the state has been doing marvelously well in academics, attributing the success to the efforts of Governor Willie Obiano and the state Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, whose efforts brought changes in the sector.

Mr. Emesi, who maintained that the new school calendar released by the Education Ministry will help to cover the lost ground, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, called for discipline and orderliness in schools.

Contributing, the principal, Ado Girls Secondary School Onitsha, Pastor Lady Justina Agudisi maintained that the new school calendar is well structured to suite the 20202021 academic session.


Pastor Lady Justina , who expressed enthusiasm on the laurels, called on parents to support their children by paying their school fees promptly and providing them with all necessary logistics for their academic excellence.

On his part, the Principal, Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha, Reverend Canon Chigozie Anieto in a telephone conversation stated that Anambra State has been a pacesetter academically since the inception of Obiano administration.

He expressed kudos to all teachers and principals for the academic excellence recorded so far, calling on the students to reciprocate the gesture by studying hard to sustain the standard.
