The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor, has been appointed a major stakeholder of Anambra Elders and Stakeholders Forum for Good Leadership.
The Speaker received the appointment from the Forum when it paid a courtesy visit in his office, in Awka.


House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim was there and reports that according to Justice Alpha Ikpeama, a member of the Board of Trustees of the forum, the appointment was based on the speaker’s spectacular performance in office in the last one year as well as his ingenuity, patriotism and benevolence which have endeared him to many.
Justice Ikpeama revealed that as a major stakeholder of the forum, Right Honourable Okafor is saddled with the responsibility of advising and rendering tangible support to the Board of Trustees of the forum on policy formulation as well as in politics, religious and cultural affairs of Anambra State.


Responding, Right Honourable Okafor who commended the organization for finding him worthy to be a member of the forum stated that he is happy to work with such organization that has designed a road map for socio-economic development of the state and the South East Geo-political zone.
The Speaker, who noted that Governor Willie Obiano has created the enabling environment for investments to thrive, called on Ndi Anambra in the diaspora to key into the think home philosophy of Governor Obiano.
On his part, the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter, Reverend John Ndubuisi who appreciated the dynamic nature of the speaker added that the organization is committed to building a community of elders and stakeholders of proven integrity who will be willing and ready to dedicate their time, talent and treasure for the benefit of the state
