Guests on yesterday‘s edition of ABS Radio audience and participatory programme Nzuko Anambra, have called on Ndi Anambra to see the development of the State at a collective responsibility.


They made the call while featuring in the special edition of the programme tagged Anambra at twenty-eight in Awka.
The guests including the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Chief Jude Emecheta and Managing Director of Winco foam, Dr Godwin Okafor paid glowing tribute to the founding fathers of the State who worked for its creation on twenty seventh August 1991.


The guests commended Governor Willie Obiano for his purposeful leadership especially the twenty million naira community choose your project initiative which they observed has fast tracked development in the hinterlands.


For Dr Godwin Okafor, an industrialist, the effective security network of the Obiano administration has rekindled the interest of investors to the State which he noted is capable of providing employment for the teeming youths in addition to boosting the Gross Domestic Product, GDP of the State.
Dr Okafor who stressed the importance of good road network and improved power supply to the industrial development of any Nation called on government to seek ways of improving electricity supply across the country for enhanced business transactions.


The Industrialist charged Ndi Anambra to continue with their support and prayer for Governor Obiano to enable him deliver on his mandate.
On his part the Managing Director and the Chief executive Officer of Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency Chief Jude Emecheta while commending Governor Willie Obiano for raising the Gross Domestic Product of the State to more than eleven point eight-three billion dollars, called on industrialists to key into the initiative of the Obiano administration and bring home part of their investment to the State for sustainable development.


Some callers to the programme including Messrs Chukwudi Okeke from Nsugbe, David Moore from Nanka, Kpokuechukwu Abazu from Ndiokpalaeke, and Okosisi from Ufuma, called for concerted efforts to ensure rapid development of the State.


Meanwhile more prominent citizens have continued to bare their minds on the twenty-eight year anniversary of Anambra State.
The respondents, who spoke in an interview with Abuchi Nwozor in Awka, described the twenty-eight year anniversary of the State as one that calls for sober reflection.


In his contribution, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor expressed satisfaction with the series of progress recorded by the State in the Education sector.


According to Bishop Ezeokafor, the handover of Schools to the Mission and various interventions by the Obiano administration in the Education sector have continued to yield the required results as Anambra students have continued to perform optimally in both Internal and External Examinations.


Bishop Ezeokafor who called for improved infrastructure especially road network for enhanced business transactions, called on Ndi Anambra to avoid acts capable of tarnishing the image of the State.


In their various contributions, the Traditional ruler of Nise in Awka South Local Government Area Igwe Romanus Iloh and his Nanka counterpart in Orumba North Local Government Area, Igwe Godwin Ezeilo, called on Ndi Anambra to key into the agricultural initiative of the Obiano administration to ensure food security in addition to becoming self reliant.
They called on Ndi Anambra to always protect government facilities in their various areas against vandalization.
