It was a shock when a nineteen-year-old boy was apprehended with a bottle of blood and some severed genitals and fingers of a four-year-old boy.
Correspondent, Daniel Ezeigwe reports that the suspect, Mr. Sunday Onwebenyi, from Emeziaka, Mgbo, in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, confessed to have abducted and killed the child, in connivance with some other named suspects from the same location.
He narrated how a female friend from the same area, Miss Blessing Eze, had allegedly recommended him to the Centre for Psychic and Healing Administration, CPHA, Awka, where they alleged to have been told to get the body parts of a child to quicken their money-making ambition.
On further interrogation by newsmen, it was discovered that the suspect had abducted the boy from a water bore- hole in their village, where the child had come to fetch water with his sibling, and got rid of other parts of his body after maiming him.
He said he was looking for alternative money venture after his trade crashed some months ago, and mentioned one Emma and Emeka, from the same area as other members of his gang.
It was on his arrival at the CPHA premises; a popular trado-health care home in Awka, that the owner of the place, who claimed not to have ever met the suspect , mobilized personnel from her centre and seized him.
The owner of the home, Mrs. Flora Ilonzo, said the woman, Mrs. Blessing Eze, who was alleged to have brought the suspect to the Home was one of her patients, with Ifite-Awka as her residential address, adding that she had come to the home purely on medical grounds.
Mrs. Ilonzo, further allayed tensions on the incident, and maintained that her course for solutions to contemporary societal health issues would not be hampered despite distractions.
The suspect has already been handed over to the police.
