Efforts of the State Government in conjunction with the staff and management of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, towards giving the College a face lift has been applauded.

The Provost, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Dr Ego Uzoezie, stated this during her Congregational Addressing the institution, aimed at taking stock of what they have achieved within three years in office.
The Provost who spoke extensively on the journey so far, said it has not been easy, but thanked God for blessing the College with an amiable Governor through whose efforts and commitment they were able to surmount a lot of obstacles to get to the impressive stage they were now.
She listed some of the projects they planned to achieve to include, conversion of the College to University, building of ICT centre, erection of E-library, improving the welfare of staff and students, improving the college IGR and expressed joy that about seventy-five per cent of theirdream have been achieved.
Dr Uzoezie harped on their efforts towards enrolling the 2015 B.ED graduates for one year National Youth Service, adding that they are working assiduously to ensure that the 2016 graduates enroll for the service.
On the accreditation exercise, the Provost thanked Governor Willie Obiano and all those that made the exercise a success as the college recorded one hundred percent in the last NCE and PED accreditation, which is first of its kind since the college started.
She appealed that all hands be on deck in preparing for the forth-coming B.ED accreditation by end of this month, adding that its success lies on the collective efforts of all.

The Provost listed some of their challenges to include finance, electricity supply, and staff development.
She regretted the inability of the staff to access their academic enhancement fund which she said, is mounting to millions of naira, and encouraged them to apply now as it is not yet late.
Contributing, the Chairman, Accreditation Committee, commended the Provost for her tireless effort in ensuring the successful accreditation of some of their courses and advocated collective efforts towards the coming B.ED accreditation in line with the principle of Anambra State which has continued to be an embodiment of peace, tranquility and excellence with a Governor who has refused to compromise quality.
