The wife of the state Governor, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, has called on Ndi-Anambra to always be their brother’s keeper as according to her,

there is no joy living in affluence whereas the next door neighbor could not afford two square meals a day.
The Governor’s wife made this call as Okwudili Ezenwankwo’s foundation celebrated Christmas in a special way for indigent widows and the less privileged at Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area.
The Governor’s wife who was represented by the state Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Dr. Victoria Chikwelu, maintained that there is nothing to be compared with the joy derived from providing succor to the down trodden in the society, stressing that people do not necessarily have to be the richest in the world before helping the needy in their immediate community.
The Governor’s wife therefore extolled the humane disposition of the founder of Okwudili Ezenwankwo foundation to the less privileged and called on other wealthy Anambrians to borrow a leaf.
Speaking earlier, the C.E.O of Okwudili Ezenwankwo Foundation who is also the chairman of Anambra State Amalgamated Trader’s
Association (AMATA), Chief Dr. Okwudili Ezenwankwo, explained that this is the tenth year of the foundation, and used the opportunity to highlight the achievements of the foundation to include but not limited to building and handing over of over six different three bedroom bungalows to indigent widows, different training and empowerment packages for women and youths
Chief Ezenwankwo maintained that the foundation was born out of his love to help those in need without any political undertone.
Speaking to the ABS, the Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, Market and Wealth creation, Barrister Mrs. Amaka Ilobi , was very thankful to the foundation and asserted that this is a clear manifestation of the ‘onye ayala nwa nne ya’ motto of APGA.
Correspondent Ifeanyi Nwosu reports that the Commissioning and handing over of keys of the two three bedroom bungalows to the beneficiaries by the Governor’s wife, as well as distribution of bags of rice and cash gifts to the needy by the foundation formed the highpoints of the occasion.
