Governor’s Willie Obiano says his government will continue to invest in education as a sure way to secure the future of the state.

Governor Obiano stated this during the sixtieth wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Andrew Ozoigbo in their country home, Amesi , Aguata local government Area.

Speaking during the event, Governor Obiano acknowledged that the State is always taking the lead in education, especially in external examinations due to the quality of education and adequate learning environment his administration had provided in schools across the state.

He commended the teachers in the state for their commitment towards driving his education initiative, saying the state government will continue to support them to be more productive.

While congratulating the celebrants who were teachers, Governor Obiano commended the family for setting up an education endowment fund in their honour.

One of the sons of the celebrants, Mr Valentine Ozoigbo said the celebrants devoted their lifetime to teaching and impacting on people, adding that they are setting up the endowment due to the high premium their parents placed on education.

Mr Ozoigbo thanked the Governor for identifying with the family, saying the community would always support his political ambition.
